Imported into USA when purchased new in 1985 from Germany.

Federalized into the USA upon new purchase. Brought to California by last ownership where it was upgraded with California emissions equipment and lab tested for smog compliance (retains CA BAR sticker inside door jamb). A major advantage for potential CA ownership as it can be registered in the most stringent state for emissions standards in the world.

Gorgeous paint with excellent depth and luster.

The black leather interior is in excellent condition. Beautiful original carpet throughout and and the door cards present well. Original dashpad in excellent shape. The wood trim, consul and control panel all show deep color and nice preservation. Hardtop headliner and trim is excellent. Original MB Rhenoglas shows great condition.

The drive quality is superb. The 110 Mercedes 6 cylinder motor Euro version has great hi revving vibes. It is lighter and more nimble than its V8 counterpart plus gas mileage is superior.

You will find the engine by to be extremely tidy and the trunk equal as such.

Original R12 AC blows blows cold and correct on all speeds as it was serviced upon acquisition.

We had the original factory alloy bundt wheels reconditioned back to new. Wearing correctly sized tires with excellent tread and rubber.

Comes with original handbooks and MB service booklet with stamps, dates of service and mileage entries, original spare, tool roll, jack, emergency triangle and MB first-aid kit.

This California example was purchased new at Caliber Motors – Anaheim, Hills Mercedes-Benz. A very nice example early production 560SL in Signal Red. A fully documented specimen with a Clean Carfax and a full service portfolio from last 2 owners.

Paint shows nice paint depth and high gloss. Body panel fitment and shut lines are straight. Chrome is in nice shape and all rubber appears well preserved. A few minor chips and minor flaws to be expected with age.

The gray leather interior shows excellent shape since the seats spent many years covered in sheep skins. Original leather upholstery shows well with vibrant color and supple feel. The original dash pad is perfect. Carpet is very clean, Mercedes floor mats are in excellent shape and door cards look nice. The long term garaging by prior ownership has nicely preserved the interior.

A new black canvas soft top was installed in 2019 and shows excellent condition.

The wheels are 15 inch chrome gullideckel factory style and show in very nice shape.

Service history over the past decade has been very steadfast as the owner always attended to routine maintenance and preventative work regular services. All maintenance history is available for review. The lifetime California and Arizona climate has treated the undercarriage very well and pics are available for review.

Comes with factory books, manuals, original key fob, valet key, spare and jack.

Delivered in a rare color scheme of anthracite grey over less common red leather interior – A stunning contrast. The vehicle was recently acquired from a private collection. Original red dash-pad shows no cracks. The matching hard top has been kept well preserved with an extra clean headliner. The previous owner had a full re-paint executed in the factory color to an exceptional standard. The paint work shows deep, lustrous and soft to touch. Red and black highlighted pinstripes contrast perfectly.

The red leather overall is in good condition for age and use. We had the seat bottoms rebuilt to return a crisp and tighter factory appearance. Carpet is bright in nice condition. Center console wood still has shiny clear laquer.

AC blows cold on the converted 134 system and is fully operational.

A replacement black soft top was installed in 2012 evidenced with invoice.

AM/FM Becker Grand Prix Radio appears to be from a slightly newer Mercedes model period correct circa early 1980s. It is in working condition. The Hirschmann antennae goes up and down properly.

14 inch alloy bundt style wheels were refurbished to like new condition. Bridgestone tires show some wear.

Engine bay is very tidy. Trunk carpet is bright, in good shape and clean. The original spare tire has never been used evidenced by original factory sticker in place.

The motor starts on cue every time. Top notch shift quality smooth and crisp through the 3 speed automatic transmission. Steering has no play. Suspension feels supple and tight. Acceleration torque is strong. There are no fluid leaks to note.

Full set of factory hand books, 3 original huff key fobs, records, competent service history including MB authorized dealership and independent MB expert shops. Comes with original First-Aid kit, MB convertible tools, original alloy Michelin spare tire and jack.
