A Final-Year R107 in Timeless Arctic White. Presented in the elegant and factory-correct Arctic White over a complementary Grey leather interior, this 1989 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is a distinguished example of the final—and most refined—model year of the R107 SL-Class. Coming out of a collection of classics from its last ownership, a retired oil and gas industry chemical engineer in Texas. We have a clean Carfax available for review, a service ledger showing complete history from new and recent pipeline deep clean for new ownership.

After an impressive 18-year production run, the R107 concluded in 1989 with the 560SL, offered exclusively to select export markets. Powered by a robust 5.6-liter V8 producing 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque, the 560SL delivered a balance of stately cruising and capable performance, all wrapped in one of Mercedes-Benz’s most enduring and recognizable designs. With its tasteful Arctic White finish and enduring appeal, this 560SL stands as a fitting tribute to one of the most successful grand touring cars in Mercedes-Benz history.

The last 2 ownership hands kept superb records and diligently serviced the vehicle.

The paint shines with excellent depth and gloss and remains highly original. The chrome is in nice shape and all glass is original.

The grey leather interior is in wonderful shape. There are no cracks on the original dashpad. A proper interior refurbishment was completed by the last 2 ownership hands including brand new door cards and OEM leather seat cover replacements with the correct grain, pleats, piping and perforations. The trim shop executed the install perfectly. All carpet inside is very clean and nice. 2 newer black Lloyds floor mats lay in the front bulkhead. A black German Canvas replacement soft top was installed about 5 years ago and shows in excellent condition with crystal clear glass.

We restored the factory finish 15 inch gullideckel wheels to like new condition and installed brand new correctly sized 205 65 15 tires.

Wonderful drive quality as expected on an example that has been well looked after and is now ready in turn key condition.

Engine bay, trunk and undercarriage are ultra tidy. Videos and pics available for review.

An incredible write up of all service history line by line on an accounting entry sheet documenting the entire history of this vehicle from day 1 to current with all dates, mileage and services completed.

This exceptionally original and well-preserved 450SL is believed to have had just 2 owners from new, and has covered 82,000 miles. The car is understood to have been fastidiously maintained, and was stored in a heated garage for most of its life, this level of care being clearly evident today upon a close inspection. Finished in an elegant astral silver exterior color and with neatly contrasting black mb-tex interior, this Mercedes-Benz perfectly suits the era in which it was one of the finest cars on the road.

Overall the interior is in wonderful condition. There are no cracks on the original dashpad and it shows in excellent shape. Carpet shows very clean. The door cards are very clean and crisp and the black mb-tex is in superb condition with supple padding. This 450SL, delivered in classic astral silver is about the nicest color to accent the beautiful lines of an R107 body. Paintwork shows very nice, all chrome work and rubber moldings are in excellent condition and the glass all around is original Mercedes.

Quick, comfortable and built to extremely high standards, this silver over black Mercedes-Benz 450SL is equipped with an automatic transmission, air conditioning, a Becker Europa AM-FM Cassette radio and two tops — a silver hardtop and an original issue black soft top. This beautiful W140 Sedan LWB was delivered in a rare color called Black Opal Metallic. The sedans of this era of Mercedes built were arguably the best ever with a push for engineering mastery instead of budget mindfulness. Contrasted with a beige leather interior this sedan has been very well preserved over the 29 years it has lived in Southern California.

Still wearing the original factory coat of Black Opal Metallic (189) the paint shows excellent depth and gloss.

The beige leather interior has been very well preserved and still has soft to touch leather, beautiful wood trims and no cracks on the original dashpad. The factory equipped sunroof operates correctly. Alcantra matching headliner is in great shape. The Polar White factory paint shows glossy and soft to touch. And the lower cladding also has a nice clean look with few minor blemishes expected with age. All glass is original around the car. Equipped with factory sunroof. Incredible pillar-less coupe windows look.

Beautiful sumptuous Royal Blue interior shows well with crisp door cards, soft beautiful and supple original leather that’s been highly preserved and benefited from wearing sheepskin covers their entire life. The rare pallette of Nautical Blue Metallic is simply beautiful, deep, lustrous, soft and appears highly original. This wonderful final model year R107 SL was sold new in February 1990 by L.P. Evans Motors Mercedes-Benz in Miami, Florida. Having had extensive service history and pride of ownership this rare color combination 560SL has been well looked after.

Paintwork is excellent showing high gloss, great depth and finish. Chrome, glass and rubber all around show very well. All original vin body tags are affixed.

Superb interior preservation and quality. Dashpad is perfect. All burlwood trim is in impeccable condition. The original leather and door cards are soft, supple and clearly have not suffered from typical UV exposure or heavy use. An original Becker AM/FM cassette still operates as it should. All original carpet is quite presentable and clean. The rear shelf area was removed and replaced with a matching kinder style seat.

Major service performed in the last few years covering suspension components as well as regular and typical service needed for age and mileage. Extensive records have been passed along from prior ownership documenting these big ticket items.

Newer correctly sized Michelin tires ride over factory alloy 15 inch wheels in like new condition.

Still wearing the original factory finish Blue-Black Metallic paint with excellent depth and gloss. Both front and rear bumper finish and lower cladding contrasting grey color shows no fade or blemish to note. The convertible top shows excellent preservation on the material, windows, headliner and sides.

These interiors were elegantly appointed with burl wood surfaces, leather door cards and very fine Stuttgart leather hides. This particular model has been well looked after and stored inside. The lack of UV exposure on this car through the years is impressive as it still shows brilliant color and fine leather soft touch surfaces. The carpet is the original and in excellent condition, the dashpad is perfect and the burl wood is exceptional. Still retains the original factory Mercedes radio with code.
