Very low production numbers for the first year cabriolet A124 vehicles delivered to the USA.  A tremendously over engineered car with a $75,000.00 price tag when new.

Originally purchased at W.I. Simonson, Inc. Mercedes Benz-Santa Monica, California.  The vehicle has lived in Southern California since new purchase.

Clean Car Fax with multiple entries including mileage and dates from new.  MB Service booklet with numerous dealer services stamped and dated.

Upholstery shows nice condition with correct patina and no cracks, rips or tears.  Black matching carpet in good condition with MB original floor mats.  Excellent door panels show clean well preserved leather.

Original dash-pad in excellent condition free of cracks.  All the original rose-burl wood trim shows deep color.  Original Becker AM/FM Cassette player with Becker multi CD unit in trunk.  Factory Mercedes alarm system.

Automatic top goes up and down with the press of a button.  Exterior top shows no rips, tears or fabric damage.  Soft top inside headliner shows a little age.

AC recently serviced blows at exceptionally cold temperatures on correct fan speeds.  Brand new Bosch battery.

Excellent drive quality, tight steering and crisp shift ratios.  Highly responsive throttle.  Handles very well on the road with a steady feel at all speeds.

1977 Mercedes Benz 450SL – SOLD

Original purchase invoice from Stead Motors of Walnut Creek, California.  Purchased on 9/23/77 by the Fucton Company in Antioch, CA.  MB service booklet stamped with dates and mileage increments all the way through.  An original California Mercedes from new.  Still retains first issue period correct California blue plates.

Black leather upholstery shows very good condition and patina with a few minor blemishes.  Original dash-pad is perfect free of cracks and sun damage.  Black loop style carpet is like new.  Hard top headliner is nearly perfect.

AC and Heat blow properly through the correct vents on all fan speeds and temperatures

14 inch chrome bundt cake MB wheels in top condition.  All tires have plenty of tread.

A stunning color scheme that lures especially when the sunshine hits it.  An incredible time capsule well preserved original SL.

Always garaged and it truly shows.  Beautiful chrome work.  Untouched trunk bolts.  All original MB glass.  Seatbelt buttons still bright red.  Extremely clean inside and out.  Very clean undercarriage.

Originally purchased at Lyle Pearson Company Mercedes-Benz Boise, Idaho on 1/22/73.  Dealer service stamps in the MB service booklet include Idaho and California from the 1970s.  Service records in the 1980’s and 1990’s just prior to long term storage. A bare metal full re-spray in the factory correct colors was executed prior to storage.

Original green dash-pad in in excellent condition shows very small crack. Aftermarket Blaupunkt AM/FM Cassette player that still works.

Brand new MB-Tex OEM seat covers were installed and the seat cushions and springs were re-built due to age. Hard top headliner is clean and well preserved.

Same ownership since 1990’s, the vehicle was recently brought out of storage after more than 20 years. A major service was completed upon our acquisition.  Service details available upon request. Complete fuel tank restoration.  This early 107 SL now runs properly, shifts accurate and crisp and behaves well on the open road at all speeds.

Brand new matching set of Uniroyal-Tigerpaw tires in the correct dimensions over bundt cake factory alloy 14 inch wheels in perfect condition.

The open recall for the subframe reinforcement was completed under warranty by Mercedes Benz of Beverly Hills.

Front seat bottom pads have worn down.  Original seat covers not damaged or torn.

Trunk deck lid shows light scratching.  Hood was repainted and shows some scratches.  Passenger door shows an area of more pronounced paint fade.  Light oxidation on roof and some panels is present.  These items mentioned are visible only upon close up inspection.
