This 1967 Pagoda is an extremely rare European example 250SL with the highly sought after factory ZF-5 speed manual transmission. Same family ownership since 1989 residing in ideal Northern California climate. Complete repaint in Signal Red over 30 years ago. Originally delivered in Medium Grey Poly (DB-178).
A high degree of originality is still retained on the vehicle including matching numbers data plate, hard top, hood etc.
Records are mostly in tact as the vehicle is coming out of over 30 years same ownership.
Incredibly well preserved factory paint in Blauschwarz Metallic shows deep luster and shine. Every original factory vin tag affixed on body panels. Excellent bright work, beautiful chrome and rubber trim. Still with original issue factory Mercedes Wopavin black soft top. Accompanied with the original color matched hardtop still in excellent condition with unfaded factory stickers.
Black leather interior shows nice condition and appears well preserved with crisp original door cards, original dashpad remains virtually crack free and carpet is nice. The burl wood retains its darker color without sun damage. Bright red seat belt fasteners. Instrument cluster had very little UV exposure and shows bright orange gauge faces / needles. Still retains First-Aid Kit and holder in rear shelf.
Very tidy engine bay. Ultra clean wheel wells and undercarriage. Spotless trunk and spare well area.
A brand new hood pad was installed upon our acquisition. Wonderful drive quality on this example with excellent braking, acceleration, steering and precise shift quality.
Brand new tires were installed and ride over the fully refurbished factory finish 15 inch alloy wheels.

Sold new to a sound studio company in Delaware. Spent time in the Philadelphia area before heading to its primary residence of southern California for the majority of its life.
Interior is highly preserved. Original dash pad shows 2 minor cracks. Nice Zebrano wood trim. Excellent door cards. Leather is supple and soft. Excellent original carpet. Superb original headliner. The Brilliant Silver Paint shows nice luster and paint depth. Bumper moldings are well preserved and the original Mercedes glass is still in place all around.
Outstanding interior preservation. Perfect dashpad. Instrument cluster still shows bright orange gauge appearance. Excellent burl wood. Door cards and Grey leather upholstery is soft, supple and in nice condition. Nice clean carpets. Lloyds floor mats in front. Originally equipped with Mercedes-Benz factory phone system. Finished from the factory in Signal Red paint over Palomino leather interior with a black fabric soft top, this combination is still sported by the vehicle to this day and are original. Further options from the factory include: a Becker Mexico Grand Prix radio, automatic climate control, a folding armrest, an outside temperature indicator, MB first-aid kit and a deletion of the rear end spoiler. All glass, chrome brightwork and rubber show in outstanding condition. The original dashpad is perfect. All leather upholstery, carpet, door cards and wood are original and show excellent. Burl wood still retains deep color. This example hasn’t seen much UV exposure through the years.
All factory VIN body tags are matching and still correctly in place. Matching transmission VIN tag still visible. Undisturbed trunk bolts. Spotless wheel wells. Tidy engine bay. Lovely trunk preservation. Extremely clean undercarriage.
It wears the original factory finish 15 inch wheels over correctly sized brand new tires; Gullideckel wheels were just refinished to brand new look.

This 944S2 Cabriolet is part of the 3rd series of 944’s produced that received the more aerodynamic 951 Turbo front apron look with integrated lighting as well as an upgraded 3.0L motor. In addition to the handsome aesthetic upgrade and bigger motor they were produced in very low numbers and specific to 1989-1991 model years.

The black paint shows nice depth and gloss all around with very few imperfections to be expected with age and mileage. Overall very nice appearance.
The linen leather / partial leather upholstery is in great shape and showing little patina considering the light color. White carpet is original in good condition. Original dash pad is perfect without UV damage or cracking. A replacement detachable Sony CD head unit was added. The cabriolet roof was replaced within the last decade and purchased from a top rated vendor. It fully operates like factory design on power mode.
Carefully owned and driven with meticulous service done by all prior ownership. This example exudes what a Porsche enthusiast would desire: Excellent service history documentation that has been retained back to new ownership / Well looked after aesthetics inside and out / Superb drive quality as one would expect from Porsche at all speeds on the road / And no expense spared for timing belt services, tires, original parts, top replacement etc. through the years.
